As Executive Director of the Development Authority of Houston County, Angie Gheesling leads the county’s business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts with more than two decades of economic development experience. Since joining DAHC in 2012, she has spearheaded major industrial, commercial, and community growth initiatives, leveraging her prior leadership as Executive Director of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Development Authority and her tenure with the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Recognized by Georgia Trend as one of the state’s Most Influential Leaders, Angie is known for her collaborative approach, deep knowledge of Georgia’s business climate, and passion for connecting opportunities that benefit both companies and the community.

Paul Allen is an experienced economic and business development strategist focused on creating growth opportunities for Georgia employers and the regional workforce. A licensed ACT WorkKeys job profiler, he bridges educators and employers through Certified WorkReady programs, building pipelines from training to employment and addressing critical skill gaps. Paul develops and coordinates customized recruitment events, produces industry reports, and implements data-driven solutions to support sustainable economic growth. Passionate about empowering people and communities, he takes pride in connecting talent with opportunity, helping individuals thrive while strengthening the regional economy.

As Communications and Operations Coordinator, Amelia Spinks manages the Development Authority of Houston County’s public outreach, marketing, and internal operations. A graduate of the Robins Regional Chamber’s Leadership Robins Region program, Amelia brings a strong understanding of local business dynamics and community engagement. She ensures DAHC’s messaging reflects the county’s strengths, supports business recruitment efforts, and maintains seamless coordination between staff, partners, and stakeholders.
