The area is home to Robins Air Force Base (RAFB), the economic engine of Middle Georgia, which is the largest industrial complex in the State of Georgia. Other logistical attributes include: a 12,001 foot runway at Robins Air Force Base, a 6,500 foot runway at Middle Georgia Regional Airport and a 5,002 foot runway at the Perry-Houston Airport. The Perry-Houston Airport is one mile from Interstate 75 as well as our 571-acre premier GRAD industrial site. Both Norfolk Southern and CSX Railroad traverse the region with quick access to the largest rail switching center on the East Coast. The Middle Georgia region has a growing population, which is young, diverse, educated and upwardly mobile. An area population of more than 300,000 presents a strong and stable labor pool for new and expanding companies.

MERC delivers unmatched interdisciplinary engineering and applied scientific expertise with 160 full time engineers, scientists, analysts, logisticians and management experts. MERC has provided support and expertise to all arms of the military, particularly the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex. MERC has also completed successful projects with Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Gulfstream and Raytheon. There are very few comparable facilities available anywhere in the country.
Services are available through Georgia’s nationally recognized Quick Start program. Quick Start offers high quality training at no cost to new or expanding businesses in Georgia. Houston County’s Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), the largest technical college in Georgia, conducts this training for prospective and existing industries.
